this is the leaf stage, the bulb is that substantial brown pebble-like matter, also visible earlier mentioned but much easier to see underneath. Delphinium. a number of weeks afterwards. and a several months afterwards however, have transplanted them into even bigger pots but that tiny just one in the foreground in a modest pot – definitely the end result of a really late germination, so substantially scaled-down than all the some others but the seeds had been sown at the same time. another seedling appeared in this pot, quite furry/furry leaves and stem. an unpdate of the plant earlier mentioned, a thirty day period or so later on, now about 29 cm tall, unfortunately eaten by slugs following I planted it in a flowerbed. this is yet another batch of seedlings, very extended time to get likely, required to present how the 3rd leaf, ie the 1st just after the 2 seed leaves, has that exclusive shape observed on the youthful seedlings earlier mentioned. this self-seeded in a pot (the 1 with the suspected groundsel from the entrance wall), revealed down below with the unknowns.
